Sport

Sport is an integral part of the academic success of students and teaches students about teamwork, strategy, competition and health and fitness.

On arrival at St Mary’s School, students are allocated to one of our two sporting houses: Xavier House (gold) or Coolock House (green).

Annual carnivals and sporting opportunities include

• swimming, athletics and cross-country carnivals
• district primary schools’ representation at south west regional carnivals
• regional and state representation
• swim lessons in Terms 1 and 4 each year.

St Mary’s School is affiliated with the Charleville & District Sports Association. The school is invited to participate in district sports events conducted by the sports association. Students may be invited to represent their school at regional and district events.
